W906 & W907 Sprinter
When a Sprinter Stops, a Whole Round Stops With It
A Sprinter is rarely somebody’s runabout. It is a multi drop round, a chilled food route, a scaffolding crew’s transport or one link in a fleet schedule that has no slack in it. So a sprinter adblue fault carries a cost that never shows on the invoice: the missed slots, the hired replacement van and the customers ringing to ask where their delivery is. That downside is why Sprinter operators book us more than owners of any other single model.
The mercedes sprinter adblue delete we carry out is a pure software job. Your technician arrives at the depot, the yard or wherever the van gave up, backs up the original file, then writes a modified calibration that stops the engine computer depending on the SCR hardware at all. Every code and counter is wiped, the exhaust and tank stay exactly where Mercedes put them, and the change carries our lifetime software warranty.
- W906 and W907 Sprinters from 2016 onwards, single vans or whole fleets
- From £250 against dealer bills that regularly run to four figures
- Depot, kerbside or driveway visits across London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent
- Lifetime software warranty in writing on every Sprinter
Generations & Engines
The Sprinters That End Up on Our List
Both Euro 6 generations dose AdBlue through Bosch Denoxtronic hardware, and both inherit its weaknesses along with it.
W906, 2016 to 2018
The last of the previous shape, running the OM651 2.1 diesel in 314, 316 and 319 CDI trims. These are now high mileage workhorses, which is precisely when the dosing pump diaphragm and tank sender start letting go.
W907, 2018 Onwards
The current van, first with the OM651 and OM642 V6, later the OM654 2.0. Newer electronics did not redesign the dosing side, so w907 sprinter adblue problems follow the same script as the old shape, just with more screens to display them on.
Courier & Fleet Spec
Stop start multi drop work is the worst duty cycle an SCR system can live under. Short hops keep the exhaust cool, deposits form in the metering valve, and the vans doing the hardest graft develop faults soonest. Fleet operators can book several vans in a single visit.
The Failure Chain
Denoxtronic 2.2, the Pump That Starts the Countdown
Nearly every Sprinter that reaches us tells the same mechanical story. The Bosch Denoxtronic 2.2 unit that pressurises and meters the fluid gradually loses its ability to hold pressure, the ECU records low reductant pressure, and after a grace period the sprinter adblue countdown begins. Unlike the mileage countdown on most vans, Mercedes counts engine starts, so every tea break, fuel stop and delivery drop spends one.
Once the sprinter starts remaining figure hits zero the van will finish its journey and then refuse to turn over until the system passes a self check it can no longer pass. At that point you are choosing between a tow and a mobile fix, and our AdBlue no start team handles exactly this situation where the van stands, whether that is a depot bay or a lay-by.
What makes the Sprinter especially frustrating is the cascade. Pay a dealer four figures for a new pump and the elderly NOx sensors, now working against a freshly calibrated system, are frequently the next components to flag, restarting the countdown within months. We can deal with those separately through a NOx sensor delete, but on a van with one failure already logged the sensible money is on retiring the whole chain in one go. Our AdBlue delete page describes the programming process itself in full.
Signs your Sprinter is on the chain
- White “check AdBlue” text that returns after every top up
- A starts remaining number ticking down with each ignition cycle
- Low reductant pressure codes reappearing after a pump swap
- NOx sensor faults arriving shortly after other SCR repairs
- A van already locked out and holding up the morning’s loads

Sprinter AdBlue Delete Questions
It varies by model year and fault, but the allowance is small and every key cycle uses one, so a multi drop driver can burn through it in a day or two. Treat the first appearance of the number as the moment to book, though if it reaches zero first we can still program the van wherever it has come to rest.
It fixes the pump, not the system. The replacement is the same design as the unit that failed, and the NOx sensors, heater and metering valve around it are all ageing at the same rate. Plenty of the Sprinters we program have already had a pump fitted, which is why owners conclude the software route is the only one that stays fixed.
Yes, fleet work is a large part of what we do. We attend depots and yards across London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent, program vans one after another around your schedule and price multi vehicle bookings accordingly. Tell us how many vans and their registrations and we will quote the batch.
The outcome is identical, the method differs slightly. The two generations use different engine control units, so each needs its own calibration file, and the newer W907 electronics take a little more care to read. Both are routine for us, both cost from £250 and both leave with the same lifetime software warranty.
