NOx Sensor Delete
NOx Sensor Delete & Bypass
Faulty NOx sensors are one of the leading causes of AdBlue warnings, poor SCR readings and engine management lights — and genuine replacements are expensive. A NOx sensor delete or bypass reconfigures the ECU software so the faulty-sensor codes and the warnings they trigger are cleared. Where the wider system is at fault, our SCR system deletes cover the whole circuit rather than a single sensor.
We test each sensor against manufacturer values first to pinpoint the exact fault, then bypass or delete it in software and confirm the warning is gone. Every job is backed by our 100% guaranteed fix and lifetime warranty. BMW NOx sensor problems are the classic case, with sensors that tend to fail in pairs, though we see the same faults across most makes.
- Clears NOx sensor fault codes and AdBlue warnings
- Avoids costly genuine NOx sensor replacements
- Individual sensor testing to confirm the real fault

The Problem
Why NOx Sensors Are the Weak Point of Every Modern Diesel
Ask any diesel technician which part they replace most and the answer is the same. It is not bad luck that yours has failed — it is close to inevitable.
A NOx sensor is a delicate ceramic measuring element that lives in the harshest place on the vehicle: bolted into the exhaust, cycling from freezing to several hundred degrees, being rattled down every road you drive. Its enemy is condensation — moisture forms in the exhaust every time the engine cools, and when the sensor heats up again the droplets crack the ceramic. That is why so many fail at five to eight years old regardless of mileage, and why a replacement can fail the same way in a couple of winters.
Most diesels carry two — one before the SCR catalyst, one after — and they talk to each other. When either drifts or dies you get codes like P2200, P229F or P20EE, an AdBlue or emissions warning, and on many vehicles a start-countdown, because the ECU can no longer prove the SCR system is doing its job. Genuine sensors run £300 to £600 each fitted, they are frequently on back order, and fitting one does not make the survivor any younger.
Our approach starts with testing both sensors against manufacturer values, so you know exactly what has failed rather than guessing at parts. Where the sensible answer is a software delete, the ECU is reprogrammed so it no longer depends on the failed sensor — the codes, warnings and countdown clear at source, permanently. It is usually done alongside a full AdBlue delete, since the NOx sensors exist to serve that system, and our guide to NOx sensor faults covers the symptoms and codes in more depth.

NOx Sensor Delete — Your Questions Answered
NOx sensors degrade over time and commonly throw fault codes, poor readings or communication errors. They’re a leading trigger of AdBlue and SCR warnings.
We’re a diagnostics and ECU software service — we test the sensors to confirm the fault, then bypass or delete it in software rather than fitting replacement parts.
Yes — where a faulty NOx sensor is triggering the AdBlue warning, the delete/bypass clears it, covered by our 100% guaranteed fix and lifetime warranty.
We test each sensor individually against the manufacturer’s expected values using live data, so we pinpoint the exact fault rather than guessing.
We’re mobile across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London and come to your home, workplace or roadside.
