The countdown is designed to force a dealer visit. It works just as well at forcing a phone call to us — and we are usually faster.
Ring or message with your registration, postcode and what the dashboard is showing — a photo of the warning is perfect. Because vehicle details come straight off the registration, we can confirm coverage for your exact ECU, quote a fixed price and offer the next available slot in the first conversation. If the counter is nearly at zero, say so: vehicles that will not restart once parked get priority, and we will tell you honestly whether to keep it running until we arrive.
Same-day depends on where our technicians already are, and it is genuinely first come, first served — but a large share of weekday enquiries before midday are seen the same day, and almost everything else lands within a day or two. The vehicle does not need to be driveable: countdown at zero, limp mode, or parked where it stalled are all fine, because everything we need comes to you.
While you wait, do not keep clearing the codes or disconnecting the battery — it changes nothing on a countdown and can cost us diagnostic history that would have been useful.
